Dr Sue Morón-García Sfhea

Principal Lecturer Education & Student Experience at Oxford Brookes University

Dr Sue Morón-García SFHEA, FSEDA has a diverse work experience in higher education. Dr Sue is currently working at Oxford Brookes University as the Principal Lecturer Education & Student Experience, where they have been since January 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Educational Developer at the same university starting in October 2020. In addition to their current role, they have also been working as an Independent Scholar, Researcher, and Writer in the field of higher education since May 2020.

Before joining Oxford Brookes University, they worked at the University of Central Lancashire as the Director of the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching from September 2015 to May 2020. Prior to this, they worked at the University of Birmingham as an Academic Practice Advisor from January 2011 to September 2015. Before joining the University of Birmingham, they held the position of Senior Lecturer HE Research and Development / Academic CPD Programme Manager at Coventry University from December 2007 to January 2011.

Dr Sue Morón-García SFHEA, FSEDA's earlier work experience includes roles such as Pedagogic Research Associate at Loughborough University from January 2006 to December 2007, and Research Officer at the University of Worcester from March 2005 to January 2006.

Dr Sue Morón-García SFHEA, FSEDA obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Educational Technology from The Open University, which they completed from 2000 to 2004. Additionally, they hold several certifications including a Certificate of completion in Full stack development from Tech Returners in 2020. Dr Sue is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy since 2013, a Fellow of the Staff and Educational Development Association since 2012, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy since 2010. Furthermore, they are a qualified teacher with a PGCert in Modern Foreign Languages and English as a Second Language from DES and Birmingham Polytechnic in 1990.
