Simon Jones

Simon Jones is currently the Director at Oxford Brookes University. Prior to that, they were the Chief Executive Officer of the UN International Computing Centre from November 2011 to November 2017. From March 2004 to November 2011, Simon was the CIO of the Department for International Development. Simon has also held positions as the Head of Technology UK at Thomson Dialog and Research Associate at Fulmer Research Institute. Simon has a wealth of experience in IT, having also worked as the Director of IT at CAB International and Manager of Technical Computing & Applications at ICI Chemicals & Polymers.

Simon Jones has a BA in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge and A Levels in Maths and Physics from Manchester Grammar School. Simon is also a Fellow of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
