Laurent Buehler is Director of Finance for Oxford Hotels & Resorts and The Godfrey Hotel Chicago. Before joining the Oxford team, Mr. Buehler worked at Swissôtels for more than 15 years. There, he served in various positions including as an Acting Controller, Financial Cost Analyst, and Restaurant Supervisor. Mr. Buehler studied in Switzerland at Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne and Ecole de Commerce.

Matthew Kalt is a Vice President at [Oxford Capital Group](/org/oxford-capital-group-llc), where he is responsible for select investment opportunities across the real estate spectrum and in the corporate private equity area.

Before joining Oxford, Mr. Kalt worked as an acquisitions associate at Lutz Real Estate Investments, where he was responsible for acquisition and development. This included providing asset management and support to a student housing portfolio that was valued at more than $100 million. Mr. Kalt has held internships with Telemus Capital Partners, Mid America Real Estate and Lormax Stern Properties.

Mr. Kalt is a graduate of the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan where he earned a bachelor’s in business administration with an emphasis in finance and real estate.

Matthew Kalt

Matthew McCahill is the Corporate Food & Beverage Director at Oxford Hotels & Resorts and The Godfrey Hotel Chicago.

Before joining the Oxford team, Mr. McCahill served as the Food & Beverage Director for Dana Hotel & Spa, the General Manager of the Crimson Lounge in the Sax Hotel Chicago, and the Manager at the Mondrian Hotel’s Asia de Cuba in Hollywood.

Mr. McCahill studied hotel restaurant management at Honolulu Business College. He has worked alongside Emeril Lagasse, Wolfgang Puck and Nick Nicholas.

Prior to joining Oxford, Sider was a senior portfolio accountant in the Private Real Estate-Equity group at Heitman, where his responsibilities included preparing investor financial reports, calculating performance returns, and performing variance analysis comparing properties’ results to budget. Sider began his career in the audit practice at [KPMG](/org/kpmg), where he focused on middle market-equity real estate funds and public REITs.

Sider graduated from [DePaul University](/org/depaul-university) with a B.S. in accounting and economics. He is a certified public accountant in the State of Illinois.

Sam Sider

Mr. Cummings is a Chicago native with over 25 years’ experience in commercial real estate. His track record encompasses the hospitality, office, retail and senior housing sectors. Mr. Cummings has served as a principal in both privately held and publicly traded companies. Mr. Cummings joined Oxford and its affiliates in 2000 as a senior advisor for hospitality and senior housing transactions, and became a Managing Director at Oxford in 2005 and a Senior Managing Director in 2006. Mr. Cummings co-founded Oxford Hospitality Investment Partners in 2005. Immediately prior to joining Oxford, Mr. Cummings’ principal activities included leading the leveraged buyout of SunRiver Living Centers, LLC, a Bend, Oregon portfolio of assisted living and skilled nursing assets. SunRiver was subsequently successfully sold. Mr. Cummings’ successful track record also includes leading the hospitality brokerage practice of Miami-based Aztec Leisure Corp. and its successor company, IAG Florida. Transactions included the $59 million sale of the Hilton Old Town Alexandria, negotiating a $57 million construction loan for the Regent Winter Park Hotel Condominiums and the sale of the Hilton Garden Inn, Fort Myers. Also prominent among Mr. Cummings’ previous activities is his 1989 founding of Providence Health Care, Inc., a vehicle to acquire an Ohio-based chain of nursing care facilities and assisted living communities in a leveraged buyout. Mr. Cummings successfully took Providence public and was instrumental in the sale of Providence to the Multicare Companies in 1994 in a successful transaction in which Providence’s initial shareholders realized a significant multiple of their initial minimal investment.

Mr. Cummings’ experience also includes assembling investor groups to take positions in two publicly held health care real estate companies, AmServ Inc., and Amerihealth, Inc. He led the acquisition of several portfolios of senior housing real estate assets as well as a Tampa-based institutional pharmacy, actively participating in management of these enterprises. From 1985 through 1989, Mr. Cummings founded and served as CEO of Common Goal Mortgage Company, at that time the nation’s only lender specializing in senior housing and long-term care. Mr. Cummings also served as an officer and board member of Common Goal Capital Group, an affiliated entity that sponsored a publicly registered mortgage fund, which also lent exclusively to the senior housing industry.

Mr. Cummings graduated from Harvard College in 1976 with a concentration in history. He earned a Masters in Business Administration from the Harvard Graduate School of Business in 1980, concentrating in real estate and finance. Mr. Cummings is a former member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and is a member of the Urban Land Institute. He is also an avid skier and tennis player. Mr. Cummings enjoys international travel and reads widely. His primary interests are history, biography, architecture, classic literature and politics.

Mr. Rutledge co-founded his first company, Oxford Realty Corporation at age 24. His third company, [Oxford Capital Group](/org/oxford-capital-group-llc), LLC, a successor company to Oxford Capital Partners, Inc., was founded during the 2004-2006 timeframe.

Oxford Capital was initially founded as a platform to take advantage of what he and a partner felt was a compelling secular arbitrage opportunity resulting from the dramatic overbuilding in the nation’s property markets, particularly the lodging sector, in the early to mid-1990’s. Since that time, in three major contrarian buying waves, starting during the RTC crisis in the early 90’s, again after the dotcom bubble burst / September 11 and after the “Great Recession” of 2008/2009, Oxford has participated in approximately $3B+ of real estate projects, with a primary focus on hospitality (13,000+ hotel rooms) and hospitality anchored mixed use projects including multifamily, retail, parking, senior housing (approximately 3,000+ units) and other operationally intensive forms of real estate. A devoted family man, John tries to live by a personal and professional ethos of integrity, discipline, hard work, a collaborative and empathetic style, a positive attitude, a growth mentality, an enthusiastic zest for all aspects of life and a belief that nearly anything is possible. He is a voracious reader who loves biographical, business, social, architectural, political and military history. He also enjoys chess, genealogy, art, cinema, classic boats, architecture, nutrition, the scouting movement and sports of all kinds including: triathlons, sailing, skiing (helicopter and racing), waterskiing (slalom and barefoot), racquet sports (tennis, platform tennis and a little squash), golf (not very often or very well and thus least proficient sport), swimming, scuba diving and world (and often adventure) travel, with highlights including a trip to the North Pole, scuba diving off the great barrier reef of Australia, elephant trekking in the jungles of Thailand and Africa, skydiving in New Zealand, helicopter skiing in the Rockies and a “trip around the world” just before business school.

John W. Rutledge

Mr. Peruri has been involved in over $ 5 billion in transactions during his career and over $1 billion in transactions while at Oxford. He is involved in multiple facets of the business including investor relations, deal origination, acquisitions underwriting, due diligence, project financing, project design, entitlements/planning, construction, and property operations. He is responsible for investment opportunities across the real estate spectrum and also in the corporate private equity area.

Prior to joining Oxford Capital Group, LLC, Mr. Peruri worked in acquisitions and asset management at Sam Zell’s Equity International, focused primarily on real estate related platform investments in South America and Asia. Mr. Peruri began his career working in the investment banking division of [Morgan Stanley](/org/morgan-stanley) in New York City.

Mr. Peruri graduated with an MBA in Finance and Real Estate from the Wharton School at the [University of Pennsylvania](/org/university-of-pennsylvania), was a recipient of the Pension Real Estate Association Scholarship and the Robert Toigo Fellowship, and served as teaching assistant to Professor Jeremy Siegel. He also holds a B.S. in Finance from the College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, graduating with Highest Honors and awarded the Bronze Tablet, and completed the yearlong General Course program at the London School of Economics.

Ludmila Chervona is the Corporate Director of Revenue Management at Oxford Hotels & Resorts and the General Manager for Essex Inn Hotel. She is involved in the development and implementation of revenue strategies and tactics for all properties.

Prior to joining Oxford Hotels & Resorts, Ms. Chervona acquired over 15 years of experience in hospitality and revenue management. Her career started at the cluster of Hilton hotels of Chicago. Later, she took on the role of Corporate Director of Revenue for [Menin Hospitality](/org/menin-hotels-llc), overseeing Raffaello hotel in Chicago, Shelborne, Gale, Bentley, and the Sanctuary hotels in Miami South Beach.

Ludmila Chervona

Kerry O’Hare is the Chief Accounting Officer for Oxford Capital Group, LLC. She is responsible for financial reporting, tax, treasury and finance, investor relations, risk management, and human resources.

Before joining Oxford in 1998, Ms. O’Hare was the Manager of Finance and Controls at Strategic Hotel Capital, a $2 billion company formed primarily by [Goldman Sachs](/org/goldman-sachs), Security Capital and [Prudential](/org/prudential-plc). Prior to joining Strategic, Ms. O’Hare worked at the international corporate offices of Borg Warner Automotive, Inc., a product leader in highly engineered components and systems primarily for vehicle power train applications. Ms. O’Hare began her career with the Assurance Practice of KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP.

Ms. O’Hare holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from [Marquette University](/org/marquette-university) and is a certified public accountant. Additionally, she is a member of Commercial Real Estate for Executive Women (CREW), Chicago Chapter, where she serves on its Leadership and Development Committee. George Jordan is the President of Oxford Hotels & Resorts and the General Manager for the Chicago-area hotel cluster. His responsibilities include overseeing Hotel Felix, Hotel Cass, and The Godfrey Hotel Chicago.

Mr. Jordan joined the Oxford team in 2009 as Area General Manager and has worked in hotels for more than 30 years. His experience includes work at Arizona Biltmore, The Saint Paul Hotel, The Marquette Hotel, The Drake Hotel, and Raffaello Hotel. Recently, Mr. Jordan worked with the development team to purchase The Raphael Hotel and convert it to an independent, four-star boutique condominium hotel.

Mr. Jordan is a graduate of the [University of Southern California](/org/university-of-southern-california) and [Arizona State University](/org/arizona-state-university), where he earned his Bachelor of Science in finance. Mr. Jordan is a well-respected leader and a member of many Chicago civic organizations including the Greater North Michigan Avenue Association, Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau, and DLC. Brad Mulvihill is Chief Development Officer at [Oxford Capital Group](/org/oxford-capital-group-llc). Before joining Oxford, Mr. Mulvihill worked directly in real estate principal, investing with General Growth Properties and Hyatt International Corporation, now known as Global Hyatt. Additionally, Mr. Mulvihill has worked with Intel Corporation and the Office of the Corporation Counsel, a government law firm that represents the District of Columbia.

Kristina Cummings is the Vice President-Accounting & Treasury at [Oxford Capital Group](/org/oxford-capital-group-llc). Her primary responsibilities include managing the accounting and reporting of current and prospective investments.

Before joining Oxford in April 2006 as Senior Staff Accountant, Mrs. Cummings worked for [PepsiCo](/org/pepsico), where she designed and implemented a worldwide General Ledger on the SAP software platform. Prior to her work at [PepsiCo](/org/pepsico), Mrs. Cummings worked in the Investment Accounting department at CNA Financial, performing investment portfolio accounting and analysis. While there, she participated in the migration and conversion to CAN’s PeopleSoft software platform.

Mrs. Cummings is a graduate of [Saint Xavier University](/org/saint-xavier-university) in Chicago, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting. During her time at Saint Xavier, Mrs. Cummings completed internships at the Northern Trust Company and privately held accounting firm, Daniel R. Edelman & Co. She is a certified public accountant.

Juan Leyva is the Corporate Director of Operations at [Oxford Capital Group](/org/oxford-capital-group-llc). Previously, Juan was Director of Rooms at Destination Hotels & Resorts. 

Juan earned his BBA in Project Management from [DeVry University](/org/devry-university)-Illinois in 2015.

James Gulson is the Senior Development Manager at [Oxford Capital Group](/org/oxford-capital-group-llc). His primary role is to serve as the owners’ representative for significant hospitality renovations and conversions. In addition to advocating for ownership, Mr. Gulson is also a fiduciary in many of the assets. His project sizes range from $5 million to $500 million.

Mr. Gulson joined Oxford in 2004, and his project resume includes hotels, multifamily real estate, places of worship and executive residential properties.
