David Butler

David Butler has extensive experience in the public sector working in various roles related to planning and development. David is currently the Head of Planning at Oxford City Council, starting in 2023. Before that, they served as the Head of Planning Policy & Environment at Coventry City Council from 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Warwick District Council as the Business Manager for Town Centres and later as the Business Manager for Policy & Development from 2017 to 2020.

David Butler completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Ancient History & Classical Archeology from the University of Warwick from 1997 to 2000. David later pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Spatial Planning from Oxford Brookes University, which they obtained from 2012 to 2014.
