Duarte Molha has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Duarte started their career as a Sales Consultant at Vodafone in 2001. Duarte then transitioned to the University of Algarve as a Research Assistant, specializing in Molecular Biology research. From 2003 to 2004, they worked as a Researcher at the University of Loughborough. Subsequently, Duarte joined the University of Ulster as a Researcher, where they worked until 2009. Since then, they have been employed at Oxford Gene Technology, where they have held various positions including Bioinformatician, Senior Computational Biologist, and is currently the Head of DNA Design. At Oxford Gene Technology, Duarte has been involved in a wide range of responsibilities, including pipeline development, microarray design, and product development for cytogenetics and molecular genetics.
Duarte Molha obtained a Licenciatura in Biochemistry from Universidade do Algarve, which they pursued from 1997 to 2002. Following this, they enrolled at Ulster University for an MSc in Bioinformatics, completing it in 2005.
