Shimaa Ahmed

Shimaa Ahmed has a diverse work experience across various companies and roles. In 2021, they worked as an AI/Machine Learning Research Engineer at Oxford Immune Algorithmics Ltd. Prior to this, in 2020, they were a Co-Founder Director and CTO at PharmLator: Virtual Pharmacy Training Simulation. From 2019 to 2020, Shimaa worked as a Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Scholar and AI Research Engineer as a freelancer. In 2014, they served as a Lead Software Engineer-Java J2EE Sr. Developer at Talent Engineering Company Egypt. Before that, in 2012, they were a Market Research Software Engineer at Nielsen. Shimaa'searliest work experience dates back to 2008, where they worked as an Oracle Developer-Hospital Management Information System at DMS until 2011.

Shimaa Ahmed holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Ain Shams University in Egypt. Shimaa also has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Artificial Intelligence from IU International University of Applied Sciences in Germany. In terms of additional certifications, they have completed the AWS Machine Learning Scholarship Program offered by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in July 2021 and the Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Scholarship Program offered by Microsoft learning 365 in October 2020. Shimaa has also obtained certifications in Machine Learning from Stanford University and in Advanced Mathematics and Physics from IU International University of Applied Sciences. Additionally, they have certifications in Java J2SE-J2EE from Oracle and has completed specializations in Machine Learning with TensorFlow on Google Cloud Platform and TensorFlow in Practice from Google and deeplearning.ai respectively.
