Steven Richardson

Steven Richardson has had a diverse work experience in various companies. Steven is currently working as the Director of Operations at Oxford Lasers since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Cobham from 2011 to 2022, where they held two roles. Steven was the Engineering Operations Director from August 2015 to April 2022, responsible for managing process improvement and performance management across multiple engineering operations. Steven was also the Head of Manufacturing from March 2011 to July 2015, overseeing all manufacturing disciplines within a complex aerospace and defense company.

Before joining Cobham, Steven worked as a Manufacturing Manager at Cobham from 2006 to 2010, where they managed a manufacturing value stream producing high technology products. Steven also worked as an Operations Manager at Amcor from February 2004 to April 2006, running the operations of a packaging company with an annual turnover of $65m. Prior to that, they were the Strategic Programs Manager at Oxford Instruments from May 2002 to September 2004, responsible for running and coordinating company projects through the entire project management life cycle.

Overall, Steven Richardson has extensive experience in operations and manufacturing management, particularly within the aerospace, defense, and packaging industries.

Steven Richardson earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Swansea University from 1990-1994. Steven also obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Swansea University from 1993-1994.
