Christina Choung

Christina Choung has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare and education sector. Christina currently serves as the Clinical Lead at Oxford Medical Simulation, where they began in 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Manager, Clinical Adoption, eHealth and Virtual Care Innovations at First Nations Health Authority from January 2022 to May 2022.

From 2019 to 2022, Christina worked as a Simulation Educator at Fraser Health Authority, where they oversaw the simulation centre and conducted simulation-based education for staff and students. Simultaneously, they were employed at Oxford Medical Simulation from April 2020 to January 2022 in roles such as Scenario Author Coordinator and Education Specialist, contributing to the development of immersive clinical experiences and implementing VR sim in healthcare education.

Christina also held various positions at Vancouver Coastal Health, starting as a Critical Care Registered Nurse in 2005 and progressing to become a Regional Clinical Educator - Simulation from 2017 to 2019. Christina's responsibilities included coaching others in the application of simulation in healthcare and contributing to curriculum development.

Between 2011 and 2014, they worked as a Clinical Instructor at The University of British Columbia and British Columbia Institute of Technology, respectively, where they taught critical care and cardiac arrest management labs. Christina Choung has an extensive education history spanning over multiple years. In 2001, they enrolled at The University of British Columbia and completed their Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2005. Following this, in 2007, they attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology where they pursued a Critical Care Certificate in Critical Care Nursing.

In 2016, Christina began their Master of Education - MA at Simon Fraser University, specializing in Education Technology & Learning Design. Christina completed this program in 2020.

In their pursuit of further knowledge and skills, Christina enrolled in short-term programs at BrainStation. In 2022, they obtained a Certificate in Product Management, and in 2023, they pursued a Certificate in UX Design.
