Carolyn Tregidgo

Carolyn Tregidgo has a diverse work experience in the field of genomics and biotechnology. Carolyn has held various roles in different companies. Starting from their early career, they worked as a PhD student at King's College London from 2004 to 2007. Carolyn then joined Illumina as an Integration Scientist from 2007 to 2013, followed by a role as an Independent Scientific Consultant from 2013 to 2014.

In 2016, they moved to Genomics England where they held the positions of Bioinformatics Operations Manager from 2016 to 2017 and Head of Bioinformatics Delivery from 2017 to 2020. After that, they briefly worked at Base Genomics as the Head of Technology and Product Integration in 2020.

In the same year, Carolyn joined Exact Sciences, first as the Director Systems Integration from 2020 to 2022, then as the Senior Director Systems Integration from 2022 to 2023, and finally as the Senior Director Research and Development from 2022 to 2023.

In 2023, Carolyn took on a new role as NED (Non-Executive Director) at Prismea Limited. Additionally, in the same year, they became the Vice President of Late Stage Development at Oxford Nanopore Technologies.

Carolyn Tregidgo completed their undergraduate education at Imperial College London from 2000 to 2004, earning a Bachelor of Science (MSci) degree in Physics. Carolyn then pursued further studies and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from King's College London between 2004 and 2007. Carolyn'sdoctoral research focused on the field of Time Resolved Fluorescence Microscopy.
