Devon O'Rourke

Devon O'Rourke is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in scientific research and product development. Currently serving as a Technical Training Content Specialist at Oxford Nanopore Technologies since February 2024, Devon previously held the positions of COO and Product Manager at Cornerstone Genomics Inc., where leadership focused on software development to enhance genetic disease diagnostics. Prior experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Northern Arizona University, concentrating on bat and bird DNA to study disease resistance, and as a Graduate Student at the University of New Hampshire, exploring bat diets and conservation through molecular techniques. With a background in teaching at prestigious institutions, Devon holds a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of New Hampshire, as well as an M.A.T. in Secondary School Science Education from Boston University and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Neuroscience and Biology from Williams College.
