Jana van Luttikhuizen

Jana van Luttikhuizen has a diverse work experience. Jana currently works as an Account Manager at Oxford Nanopore Technologies starting in 2023. Prior to that, they were a Mitarbeiterin Vertrieb Außendienst / Sales Representative at MVZ Labor Limbach Hannover GbR from 2021 to 2023. In 2020, they were a Consultant for healthcare at Alcimed. From 2016 to 2020, they worked at Hannover Medical School as a PhD Candidate at the department of Human Genetics, focusing on identifying variants predisposing to hereditary breast and/or ovarian cancer and characterizing genetic heterogeneity of breast cancer using various sequencing technologies. Jana also worked as a Research Intern at the same department in 2016, helping to establish a new technology for generating whole genome copy number profiles of DNA extracted from FFPE tissue. Before that, they worked as an Employee at Albertheijn from 2007 to 2015. In 2014, they were a Research Intern at Radboudumc, Dept. Human Genetics, where they investigated protein interactions using various technologies. Jana also worked as a Research Intern at the department of Cognitive Neuroscience in 2014 at Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour.

Jana van Luttikhuizen completed their education in the field of Molecular Life Sciences. Jana earned their Bachelor's degree from Radboud University, studying from 2011 to 2014. Jana then pursued a Master's degree in the same field at Radboud University from 2014 to 2016. Jana further extended their academic journey by joining the Hannover Biomedical Research School (HBRS) from 2016 to 2020, where they were enrolled in the PhD/MD program Molecular Medicine as a PhD candidate.
