Sinéad Tobin

Sinéad Tobin has a diverse range of work experience in various scientific and engineering roles. Sinéad worked as a Chip Development Scientist at Oxford Nanopore Technologies Ltd starting in 2019. Prior to that, they were a Photonics Process Development Engineer at PRP Optoelectronics from 2016 to 2019, where they focused on wafer process engineering and photonic device manufacturing. Sinéad also worked as a Scientific Researcher at the University of Nottingham from 2014 to 2016, where they conducted research on ultrasonic wave generation using lasers and nanoparticles. Sinéad completed their MSc. in Nano Bio Science at University College Dublin from 2012 to 2014, and was a Fabrication Engineer at Analog Devices in 2011, where they focused on device characterization and testing. Lastly, Sinéad worked in various roles at Cahir House hotel and 42nd street night club from 2006 to 2008.

Sinéad Tobin completed their Master of Science (MSc) in NanoBio science from UCD during the years 2012-2014. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor's of Science in Applied Physics from the University of Limerick from 2008-2012.
