Velissaria Vanna PhD is a highly experienced professional in the fields of medical editing and scientific writing, currently serving as a Senior Medical Editor at Oxford PharmaGenesis since July 2017. Prior to this role, Vanna worked as a Scientific Writing Consultant and Editor at the National Centre for Scientific Research 'Demokritos' from October 2013 to July 2017, and as a Scientific Editor for several journals, including the International Journal of Oncology and Oncology Reports, from October 2013 to September 2016. Vanna's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biological Anthropology from UCL, a Master of Studies (MSt) in Classical Archaeology from the University of Oxford, a Master of Science (MSc) in Osteology, Palaeopathology and Funerary Archaeology from The University of Sheffield, and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours (BA Hons) in Ancient History and Archaeology from Newcastle University. Additionally, Vanna has held roles such as Postdoctoral Researcher in Biological Anthropology at Wiener Laboratory and Forensic Anthropologist for the Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus under the auspices of the United Nations.
