Alaaeldin Gad

Process Engineer at Oxford PV

Alaaeldin Gad has been working in the field of inorganic chemistry since 2003. Alaaeldin began their career as a Researcher Assistant at the National Research Center in Egypt, where they developed strategies for the synthesis of inorganic layered structures based on phosphates. Alaaeldin then moved to the University of Cologne in 2010, where they worked as a Ph.D. student and developed a concept for self-powered gas sensors based on semiconductor nanomaterials and their heterostructures. In 2014, they joined Technische Universität Braunschweig as a Postdoctoral Researcher and coordinated a project entitled “Processing technologies for semiconductor nanowires-based gas sensors (WireControl)”, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). In 2017, they became the Technical Project Lead at Forschungszentrum Jülich and in 2020, they took on the role of Process Engineer at Oxford PV.

Alaaeldin Gad received their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Inorganic Chemistry and Material Science from the University of Cologne in 2013. Alaaeldin then obtained a Master's degree in Inorganic Chemistry from Cairo University in 2007. In 2005, they completed the Preliminary M.Sc. courses in Inorganic Chemistry at Cairo University. Finally, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Cairo University in 2002.
