R&d Manager - Cell Development And New Technologies at Oxford PV

Ben Williams began their professional career in 2008 as a Trainee Engineering Graduate at EDF Energy, where they were responsible for electrical distribution network maintenance, fault repair and new connections. Ben also completed the Prince 2 project management course. In 2009, they began a PhD Student role at Durham University. In 2011, they moved with Durham's Thin Film Solar Cell research group to The Stephenson Institute of Renewable Energy to continue their PhD project, which they completed in 2013 with a thesis entitled 'CdTe nanowire structures and solar cells'. In 2013, Ben began a Postdoctoral Researcher role at Eindhoven University of Technology, where they supervised two PhD and two MSc students, designed workshops for solar cell theory and modelling and thin-film characterisation, wrote lecture material, and designed and led BSc lab projects. In 2016, Ben began working at Oxford PV as a Technical Manager - Cell Development, Senior Scientist & Project Manager, and Scientist.

Ben Williams attended Durham University from 2004 to 2008 and graduated with a 1st Class (Hons) MSci Physics degree. Prior to that, they attended Ysgol Aberconwy from 1997 to 2004.
