Allison Florio

Allison Florio is a highly experienced technical editor and engineering professional with a diverse background spanning multiple roles within engineering and technical communication. Currently serving as a Technical Editor for ASME since August 2019 and an Editor for Cactus Communications since March 2019, Allison has also held various engineering positions at Oxford Solutions Inc. and Elliott Group, Ebara Corp, where responsibilities included R&D engineering, process innovation, and manufacturing. Prior experience includes a role as Lean Champion at Versa-Matic Pump Company/Idex Corporation and engineering co-op positions at MSA - The Safety Company. Allison holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from PennWest Clarion, complemented by certification as a Professional Technical Communicator from the Society for Technical Communication.
