Mark Tackley

Mark Tackley is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the space sector. Currently serving as the MAIT Manager at Oxford Space Systems since May 2015, Mark has progressed through roles including Senior MAIT Technician and Mechanical Design Engineer. Prior to this, Mark worked at Enersys-ABSL Space Products from November 2005 to May 2015, where responsibilities included hands-on design engineering, managing clean room activities, and developing space hardware such as satellite batteries and optical instruments. Mark utilized CAD tools like SolidWorks for 3D modeling and AutoCAD for wiring schemes. Earlier career experience at A W Clarke Engineering involved completing a four-year Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship, gaining skills in manufacturing techniques such as CNC machining and sheet metal work.
