Katie Lowry

Katie Lowry possesses extensive experience in editorial management and acquisitions, currently serving as an Acquisitions Editor for Reference at Oxford University Press since October 2015. In this role, Katie manages the editorial process for prominent publications in literature, linguistics, and classics, while also overseeing major reference works like the Oxford Research Encyclopedia. Previously, Katie held roles at Oxford University Press as Journals Acquisitions and Transitions Manager and Journals Production Editor, demonstrating expertise in journal development and production processes. Prior experience includes a Textbook Editorial Internship at SAGE Publishing and a legal assistant position at a law firm, alongside various customer service roles early in Katie's career. Katie holds a Master's degree in Publishing from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
