Nazmiye Candan

Nazmiye Candan is currently serving as a Business Development Manager at Oxford University Press since July 2023, specializing in areas such as English Language Teaching (ELT), the International Baccalaureate (IB), and various international curricula. Formerly, Nazmiye held the position of Head of the Foreign Languages Department at Bahcesehir High School for Science and Technology from September 2009 to August 2023, where responsibilities included coordinating the foreign languages department, facilitating college counseling, and mentoring teachers. With a comprehensive background in teaching English across various age groups, Nazmiye has accumulated experience at several institutions, including Terakki Vakfı and FMV Işık Okulları, among others. Academically, Nazmiye holds a B.A. in English Language and Literature from Boğaziçi University, an MA in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language from Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Teaching English as a Foreign Language at Bahcesehir University. In addition, Nazmiye has pursued coaching and mentoring qualifications through Livcon International UK since 2010.
