Rafael Bica

Rafael Bica has a diverse work experience in procurement and management roles. Rafael currently works at Oxiteno as the Director of Procurement, following their previous role as the Head of Global Procurement. Prior to that, they worked at Elekeiroz SA as the General Procurement Manager. Rafael also has experience at Gerdau, where they served as the Procurement Manager Brazil and Procurement Manager Colombia. Additionally, they have worked as a research assistant at UFRGS and as an engineering intern at GKN. Rafael's expertise includes purchasing petrochemicals, electrical energy, natural gas, and water treatment, as well as conducting international and national negotiations with suppliers. Rafael has participated in industry associations and has been involved in strategic purchasing and supplier development projects.

Rafael Bica holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Rafael then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Economics and Business Management from the same university. Additionally, they completed various extension courses in International Business at HEC Paris, Human Resources Management at Fundação Dom Cabral, and Supply Chain Management at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management.
