Seán Murphy

Seán Murphy has a diverse work experience. Seán started their career at Pony Express Moving Services in 2016 as a Team Lead. Seán then worked as a Bartender at The Old Oak from October 2016 to May 2017. In 2018, Seán joined GE Healthcare as a Process & Validation Engineer, where they successfully led a team in executing the revalidation of a cleanroom production area. Seán also coordinated with the sister plant in Shanghai to standardize packaging practices. Seán then worked at O'Donovan Engineering Ltd as a Production Operative from October 2011 to August 2018. In this role, they completed a reorganization of the assembly area and inspected assembled products for quality issues. Seán later became a Manufacturing Engineer at the same company, generating detailed drawings and providing support for the manufacturing team. From August 2020 to December 2021, Seán worked as a Construction Foreman at Contech Construction Ltd. In this role, they managed and assigned tasks for crews, coordinated with various stakeholders, and ensured projects were completed within budget and schedule. Currently, Seán is a Manufacturing Engineer at Oxygen8, starting in January 2022.

Seán Murphy attended Coachford Community College from 2007 to 2013. Seán completed their Leaving Certificate during this time. Later, from 2013 to 2019, they pursued their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Biomedical Engineering at Cork Institute of Technology.
