Jinsi Lee

Founder & CEO at Oyika

Jinsi Lee is the Founder and CEO of Oyika. Prior to Oyika, Jinsi was the Co-founder & Director of Rising Sun Energy, Head of International Markets at Sunseap, and Co-founder of SolarMorph. Jinsi has also served as the Chief Strategy Officer at Infocomm Asia Holdings.

Jinsi has over 15 years of experience in the renewable energy sector. Jinsi started their career in 2006 as the Chief Strategy Officer at Infocomm Asia Holdings. In 2007, they co-founded SolarMorph, a renewable energy startup with the aim of bringing thin-film photovoltaic (PV) technology to Singapore. The project ultimately did not materialise due to the collapse of PV prices. However, low PV prices made solar a viable energy resource without the need for government subsidies. The team went on to found a solar leasing startup.

In 2015, Jinsi joined Sunseap as Head of International Markets. In this role, they secured India 140MW solar farm and Cambodia 10MW solar farm through tender and structured their financing. Both solar farms are currently operational.

In 2016, Jinsi co-founded Rising Sun Energy (RSE). RSE commissioned a 140MW solar farm at the end of 2017 in the State of Rajasthan, India, on a build, own and operate basis. Yinson Holdings Bhd, a Malaysian public listed company, acquired RSE in 2020.

Jinsi has a deep understanding of the renewable energy landscape and extensive experience in developing and financing large-scale renewable energy projects. Jinsi is a thought leader in the industry and is passionate about making renewable energy accessible to everyone.

Jinsi Lee's educational career began at Hwa Chong Institution, where they studied electrical and electronic engineering. Jinsi then went on to study at the University of Canterbury.
