Dessa Chittester

Dessa Chittester has over 20 years of work experience. From 1996 to 1998, they worked as a Management Trainee at Northwest Bank, where they gained exposure to various departments and trained staff during a technological transition. From 1998 to 2006, they served as the Accounting Operations Supervisor at Northwest Bank, where they were responsible for cross-departmental communication, management reporting, and compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. From 2006 to 2014, they held the role of Director of Accounting at the Area Transportation Authority of North Central Pennsylvania, overseeing accounting processes, grant applications, and compliance. From 2015 to 2023, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at the Area Transportation Authority of North Central Pennsylvania, responsible for operations, maintenance, and spearheading new service and technology deployments. In 2023, they joined Viatris and Oyster Point Pharma as the Senior Director of Operations, Chief Scientific Office, where they lead operations, financial tracking, and business development.

Dessa Chittester obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford from 1993 to 1996. Later, they pursued a Certificate in Accounting from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the State Board of Accountancy PA Department of State in 2006.
