Sophie Liao

Sophie Liao is currently a partner at Oyster Ventures. Prior to their current position, they were the Managing Director at Rothenberg Ventures from January 2015 to December 2017. There, they were responsible for fundraising for Fund III & IV and investing in fintech and entertainment technologies. From January 2011 to December 2015, they were at Eight Solutions Inc. as an M&A and Entrepreneur In Residence. There, they founded a multimedia software development company with Harvard VR Lab and raised funds for Gener8, Cumul8, Jetstream, and Realhouse. From January 2010 to December 2011, Sophie Liao was the International Business Development Manager at Cameron Pace Group. There, they set up the U.S/China Joint Venture for James Cameron's visual effects company and sourced sales pipeline for the company's integrated 3D technologies and production services. Prior to that, they were a Producer at CCTV from August 2008 to August 2010.
