Mark Poole

Mark Poole is the current CEO at Ozo Innovations. Prior to their current position, they served as the R&D and Product Development Director at Echion Technologies, a pre-commercialisation start-up developing novel anode materials for the Li-ion battery market. There, they led a UK based R&D team of 33 members and was responsible for defining the technology and product roadmaps, aligned with voice of customer requirements. Mark also oversaw the development of the company's first commercially relevant product from kilogram scale for customer sampling.

Mark began their career as a Technical Director at U-POL LTD in May 2010. There, they managed departmental capex and budgets, determined and reviewed department KPI's, and oversaw external contract research activity. Mark also conducted due diligence assessment of alternative technologies and potential M&A targets. In December 2014, they left U-POL LTD to join Echion Technologies as their R&D and Product Development Director.

Mark Poole has a post graduate diploma in business administration from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School, a PhD in corrosion from The University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology, and a BSc (Hons) in applied chemistry from the University of Portsmouth.
