Simona Powell

Simona Powell has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Simona started their career in 2008 as an Accounting Assistant at C3 Spa Distribution, where they managed accounts receivable and accounts payable, updated employee files, and handled inventory management. From 2013 to 2014, they worked at Shamrock Recruiting as a Temp Accounting Clerk, providing support for audits and managing accounting records.

Simona then joined Magellan Petroleum in 2013, initially as an Accounting Assistant. In this role, they coded invoices, improved expense reporting, and addressed vendor inquiries. Simona later became a JIB/AP Accountant, responsible for reviewing accounts payable, processing check runs and wires, and handling monthly JIB processes.

In 2016, Simona joined FullContact Inc. as a Senior Accountant, and later became the Manager of Accounting Operations. Simona'sresponsibilities included general account analysis, reconciliations, expense reporting, month and year-end closing processes, and assisting with audits.

Simona then moved to Beeline in 2019, where they worked as a Senior Accountant until 2021. Simona played a key role in the month-end close process, prepared journal entries and account reconciliations, managed intercompany transactions, and participated in financial reporting and analysis.

Currently, Simona is working at IFS, Energy and Resources as a Senior Accountant. Simona'sresponsibilities include maintaining balance sheet accounts, preparing and recording financial entries, and reviewing customer contracts for revenue recognition compliance.

Throughout their career, Simona has demonstrated strong accounting skills and extensive experience in financial reporting, analysis, and reconciliation. Simona has also shown proficiency in various accounting systems and software, including QuickBooks and BOLO.

Simona Powell attended Lancaster University from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Management with a focus on North America- Australasia. In 2007 and 2008, Simona participated in a Student Exchange Program at Purdue University Daniels School of Business, where they studied Management. Prior to their time at Lancaster University, between 2004 and 2006, Simona completed coursework in International Business Management at the International Business School at Vilnius University. In 2017, Simona also obtained a Certificate in Leading with Finance from Harvard Business School Online.
