John Rich

John Rich is the Chief Technology Officer at PACCAR since March 2021, bringing extensive experience from Ford Motor Company where John held various senior roles from August 1990 to March 2021, including Chief Operating Officer for the Autonomous Vehicle subsidiary, Executive Director of Global Strategy, and Vehicle Line Director for Asia Pacific operations. Rich played a key role in the development and industrialization of autonomous vehicle programs and integrated technologies through partnerships such as Argo AI. With a strong engineering foundation, Rich held positions ranging from Powertrain Systems Engineering Manager to Site Manager for North American I-4 Engines, and has been involved in both product planning and strategy as well as powertrain development in multiple markets, including Asia. Rich holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and advanced engineering degrees from the University of Michigan and Boston University.
