Mark van de Plas has extensive experience in the automotive engineering sector, beginning with an internship at Daimler Chrysler in 2003. Following roles as a Graduate Student at IAV GmbH and an Application Engineer at AVL in the U.S., Mark developed expertise as a Senior Application Engineer at Groupe Renault and AVL List GmbH, where significant contributions were made from 2004 to 2010. Mark transitioned to project management roles at DAF Trucks NV from 2016 to August 2023, leading initiatives on Model Year 2027 and advanced research for the SuperTruck 2 engine. Currently, Mark serves as the Global Powertrain Portfolio Manager at PACCAR. Mark holds a Bachelor of Automotive Engineering from Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen, obtained in 2003.
