Karen Hacker

Karen Hacker is the Director at Pace Credit Union. Prior to their current position, Ms. Hacker served as the Chief Operating Officer of Canadian Interuniversity Sport from January 2016 to May 2016. In this role, they were responsible for the Human Resources, Legal, Financial, and Governance functions of the organization. Ms. Hacker has also served as the General Counsel for Spin Master Ltd. and as the Sr. VP and General Counsel for St. Joseph Communications. At St. Joseph Communications, they were responsible for all legal functions including a significant sale/leaseback transaction, the acquisition of a marketing business, a naming rights/sponsorship agreement, and the $100 million refinancing of company debt. Ms. Hacker was the first in-house counsel in Company’s 47 year history and was responsible for developing and implementing a model for delivery of legal services across multiple platforms and stakeholders.

Karen Hacker completed their LLB at the University of Toronto and went on to get their certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors in Institute-Certified Director, ICD.D.
