Kristin Sawyer Lyman is an experienced professional and community leader currently serving as the Owner and Executive Director of Lionseed Bookstore & Learning Commons since November 2021, a space that fosters community engagement in the Central MN lakes area through books and educational resources. In addition to this role, Kristin is a PACER Trained Parent Leader, an Academic Consultant, Executive Skills Coach, and Reading Tutor at Tending Windmills, and a self-employed consultant specializing in events, marketing, and project management since 2004. Previous positions include Assistant Director of Alumnae Relations at the College of Saint Benedict and Communication Specialist at St. Cloud State University. Kristin holds a BA in Communication/English from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University and has additional certifications in Mental Health First Aid.

PACER's mission is to improve educational opportunities and enhance the quality of life for children and young adults with disabilities and their families. Our vision is that children and young adults with disabilities and their families have access to resources and equitable opportunities to be successful and valued members of their community. Founded in 1977, PACER Center was created by parents of children and youth with disabilities to help other parents and families facing similar challenges. PACER is staffed primarily by parents of children with disabilities and works in coalition with other disability organizations.
