Barbara Laflin Treat has a long and varied career in the energy and infrastructure industries. In 1979, they began as Marketing Director and Oil Trader at Pacific Resources, Inc. Barbara then moved on to Energy Intelligence where they served as Senior Editor of Petroleum Intelligence Weekly from 1986 to 1987. In 1986, they also took on the role of Research Director at the Energy and Environmental Policy Center at Harvard University. In 1987, they became Director of Government Affairs at Regent International | Venners & Co. In 1989, they joined Bechtel Corporation as Principal Vice President, Bechtel Corporation and Bechtel Civil, and Vice President, Bechtel Enterprises. In 2000, they became President & Chief Executive Officer at Infrastructure World. Most recently, in 2021 they joined Pacific Ag as President of Pacific Ag Renewables.

Barbara Laflin Treat obtained a Bachelor's degree in Theirtory from the University of California, Berkeley. Barbara then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration - MBA in Accounting and Business/Management from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
