Doug Casebolt

Doug Casebolt has extensive work experience in the field of chemistry and laboratory analysis. Doug began their career as a Laboratory Technician at Dow Chemical, where they conducted experimental testing and performed gas chromatography. Doug then worked as an Assistant Chemist at Del Monte Foods, where they specialized in pesticide residue analysis and conducted research studies and validations for pesticide registration.

In 2000, Doug joined The National Food Laboratory as a Research Chemist II. In this role, they analyzed food products and packaging materials for contaminants, including pesticides, residual solvents, and compounds causing off odors. Doug also performed pharmaceutical API and dissolution testing using a range of analytical techniques such as GC/MS/MS, HPLC, UV/Vis, and GC. Doug remained with The National Food Laboratory for over 15 years before transitioning to Covance.

At Covance, Doug continued their work as a Research Chemist II. Doug conducted laboratory sample analyses and research projects, including the transfer of methods and assistance with the closure of the Chemistry Department in Livermore. Additionally, they trained Covance staff members in research methods at their Greenfield Indiana facility.

Most recently, Doug worked as a Scientist II at Pacific BioLabs, Inc. In this role, they performed analytical testing for pharmaceutical clients and conducted extractables and leachables testing of medical devices. Doug utilized a variety of laboratory instrumentation, including GC-MS, LC-MS, HPLC, GG, Headspace GC, UV-Vis, and FTIR.

Throughout their career, Doug has demonstrated expertise in laboratory analysis, method development, and research projects in both the food and pharmaceutical industries.

Doug Casebolt obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geology from the University of California, Davis. In addition, they obtained a certification in Six Sigma Fundamentals from LinkedIn in October 2016.
