Andrew Housman

Andrew Housman is an experienced engineer with a strong background in optics and electrical engineering. Currently serving as Engineer II - Field Service at Pacific Biosciences since April 2016, Andrew excels in calibrating robotics, lasers, and fiber optics, troubleshooting system failures, and providing remote support to customers. Prior to this role, Andrew was an Optical Sales Engineer at ISP Optics, where responsibilities included product development, increasing revenue, and training sales engineers. Andrew also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Central Florida, engaging in various laser and microfluidics research projects. With degrees in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering, complemented by a Master’s in Optics, Andrew combines technical expertise with a commitment to process efficiency and problem solving.
