Arnoud Schmitz

Arnoud Schmitz is a Senior Scientist in Field Applications Support at PacBio since May 2020, providing support for customer sequencing efforts and new applications. Previously, Arnoud served as a Scientist II in Field Applications Support at GenomeScan from July 2014 to May 2020, where additional responsibilities included Project Manager R&D and R&D Technician roles. Arnoud's earlier experience includes working as a Research Technician at Leiden University Medical Center in the Human Genetics and Leiden Genome Technology Center, focusing on sequencing platforms and DNA/RNA data analysis from August 2009 to July 2014. Arnoud's academic background includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Micro- and Molecular Biology from Hogeschool Leiden, obtained between 2004 and 2008.
