James Hudson

James Hudson has over 20 years of experience in the life sciences industry. James currently holds the position of Director of Sales, Americas East at Pacific Biosciences since April 2021. Before this, they worked at Illumina from 2009 to 2021, where they held various roles including District Sales Manager, Benchtop Sequencing Sales Manager, and Regional Account Manager. Prior to joining Illumina, James worked at Molecular Devices as a Life Science Technical Sales Representative from 2006 to 2009. James also gained experience in life science sales at Sigma-Aldrich from 2003 to 2006. James started their career at Emory University in 1999 as a Lead Research Technician, where they managed a biomedical research laboratory focused on gastroenterological disease. James has publications in the field and made contributions to the understanding and future treatments of human diseases.

James Hudson completed their undergraduate education at Virginia Tech from 1995 to 1999, where they pursued a degree in Biology/Immunology. James later obtained their MBA from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University, specializing in Marketing, between 2003 and 2005. James also holds a certification in "The Persuasion Code: The Neuroscience of Sales," obtained from LinkedIn in the year 2021.
