Alexis Vargas

Alexis Vargas is currently the Manager of Impact Evaluation & Quality Improvement at Pacific Community Resources Society. Alexis has a long and varied history of working with various organizations to help them assess and improve their programs and operations.

Alexis started their career as a Consultant for Project Design and Management of the Sistema Plurinacional de las Artes (Project) with the Ministry of Education. In this role, they were responsible for helping to design and implement the project, as well as manage its progress.

From there, they became an Adjunct Professor at the University of Pittsburgh, where they taught for two years. After that, they took on the role of Associate Director of International Programs at Global Links, where they worked on developing program evaluations and community needs assessments for resource-poor communities in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Most recently, they have been working as the Manager of Special Initiatives for the City of Pittsburgh Office of Mayor William Peduto. In this role, they manage a number of initiatives aimed at making Pittsburgh a more welcoming and inclusive city for everyone.

Alexis Vargas has a Master in Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh with a focus in Policy Research and Data Analysis. Alexis also has a Graduate Diploma (diplomado) in Law for Children and Adolescents Rights from Salesian University. Alexis is a Commercial Engineer from Escuela Militar de Ingenieria.
