Erik Heikkila

Erik Heikkila has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles.

Erik began their career as a Controls Engineer Intern at Industrial Automation Group in 2017, where they gained experience in the field of industrial automation.

Following this, they worked as a Personal Trainer at 24 Hour Fitness from September 2017 to May 2018.

In 2018, Erik had an internship as a System Engineering Intern at Raytheon Intelligence & Space, further developing their skills in the field.

Erik then moved on to a role as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at California State University, Long Beach from January 2019 to June 2019, gaining valuable experience in research.

Erik then returned to Raytheon Intelligence & Space as a Systems Engineer in July 2019, working on an airborne Electronic Warfare platform. In this role, they were responsible for data analysis, systems integration and testing, and played a lead role in system qualification testing.

Most recently, in 2022, Erik joined Pacific Defense as a Senior Systems Engineer.

Erik Heikkila's education history begins in 2014 when they enrolled at Merced Community College District. Erik pursued a field of study in Mechanical Engineering and completed their transfer degree program in 2016.

In 2016, Erik furthered their education at California State University, Long Beach, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Erik dedicated himself to their studies for three years, eventually graduating in 2019.

Seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills, Erik decided to pursue a Master of Science degree in Data Engineering. In 2020, they enrolled at Southern Methodist University, where they are currently studying and is expected to graduate in 2023.
