Michael Smiegal

Michael Smiegal has a diverse work experience in software engineering, with a focus on defense systems. Michael is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Pacific Defense since March 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Raytheon for several years, starting as a Software Engineer I in December 1997 and progressing to Senior Software Engineer II. During their time at Raytheon, they contributed to various projects and received recognition for their work, such as the prestigious 2019 Raytheon Corporate Excellence in Engineering and Technology Award. Their responsibilities included developing software for different defense systems, including the Army Artillery System and the Electronic Warfare Planning and Management tool. Michael has also collaborated with external partners, such as Honeywell, on communication interfaces for army projects. Michael Smiegal has an active DOD clearance and is experienced in web services, server client architecture, and technologies like JBOSS, ActiveMQ, and Mule.

Michael Smiegal attended the Watson School of Engineering in Binghamton, NY from 1996 to 1997. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science during this time.
