Kathy Hoekstra

Kathy Hoekstra currently serves as the Development Communications Officer at Pacific Legal Foundation, focusing on defending liberty and justice through extensive writing for the organization's Development and Communications teams since September 2017. As the owner of Kathy Hoekstra Communications, LLC since April 2016, Kathy provides a comprehensive range of communication services, leveraging over 20 years of experience in media, writing, events, and public policy. In addition, Kathy holds the position of Senior Manager of Media Relations and Michigan State Director at Job Creators Network, advocating for business owners and employees in Michigan. Previous roles include Regulatory Policy Reporter for the Franklin Center for Government and Public Integrity, Contributor and Editor at InformationStation.org, and Communications Specialist at the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, along with extensive experience in television and radio broadcasting as a News Anchor/Reporter. Kathy holds a B.A. in Communication and English from the University of Michigan, and has also studied at the Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts, Inc.
