David Howell

David Howell is the CEO of Pacific Life Re, where responsibilities encompass all activities of the organization since August 2008. With nearly 30 years of experience in life reinsurance, David's career has featured significant geographic diversity. Prior to Pacific Life Re, David served as the CEO - International at Scottish Re Group Limited from 2006 to 2008 and held the position of Chief Pricing Officer at Swiss Re from 1987 to 2005. David earned a B. Math in Actuarial Science from the University of Waterloo between 1986 and 1990, and completed high school education at Stephen Leacock from 1980 to 1986.
