Huiyao Tang Fia

Huiyao (Hugh) Tang FIA is a skilled actuary with extensive experience in the insurance and pensions sectors. Currently serving as a Deal Pricing Actuary at Pacific Life Re since September 2025, Huiyao previously worked as a Reinsurance Actuary at Phoenix Group, where responsibilities included managing reinsurance contracts, collateral calculations, and operational reviews. Prior experience at Willis Towers Watson involved actuarial consultancy in defined benefit pensions, focusing on valuations, accounting reports, and project management. Huiyao also held positions at Cambridge University Malaysia and Singapore Association as Treasurer, managing finances for a large student society, and served as a teacher at Raffles Institution and an admin specialist in the Singapore Army. Huiyao earned a Master of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge between 2013 and 2016.
