Elizabeth Summers

SVP & CFO at Pacific Life

Ms. Summers serves as senior vice president and chief financial officer for the Institutional business. She is responsible for developing financial strategies to support growth objectives and oversees the finance, risk, valuation, asset liability management and technology areas.

Ms. Summers joined Pacific Life in 2018 as vice president in enterprise risk management where she was responsible for the oversight and continued development of aggregate risk reporting, value of new business, economic value and economic capital. She also provided input into the development of strategies, policies, and procedures for monitoring, measuring and managing risks across the enterprise. In January 2020, she was promoted to vice president and chief financial officer of the new Institutional business and promoted to her current position in April 2022.

Prior to joining Pacific Life, Ms. Summers was with Transamerica for more than 20 years in various actuarial, risk, and finance roles, including chief financial officer of the employer solutions & pensions business unit.
