Mike Brase

Mike Brase is an experienced professional in the field of telecommunications and broadband services, currently serving as the University of Alaska Representative on the Alaska Statewide Broadband Advisory Board since January 2023 and as the Chair of the Advisory Council for Pacific Northwest Gigapop since December 2022. With a long tenure at the University of Alaska starting in April 2001, Mike Brase has held various leadership roles, including Executive Director of Infrastructure and Cloud Services, Senior Manager of Telecommunications Services, and Network Operations Manager. Prior experience includes working as a Network Manager at the State of Alaska from January 1999 to April 2001. Mike Brase earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where studies were completed between 1987 and 1996.
