Edward Louie

Edward Louie is an experienced energy efficiency research engineer currently working at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where responsibilities include mentoring peers and advocating for innovative ideas. With a background in building science and energy efficiency, Edward has also operated as a self-employed design-build owner of super energy-efficient tiny homes, addressing housing affordability issues in the U.S. Prior roles include serving as a senior associate energy efficiency engineer, a service worker at TriMet, and various teaching assistant positions in higher education. Edward holds a Master of Science in Energy Policy from Michigan Technological University and has engaged in multiple research projects related to energy efficiency and sustainability throughout an extensive career in both engineering and education.
