Erin E Walters is a seasoned marine technology systems engineer with extensive experience in ocean engineering and microelectronics. Currently serving at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory since January 2021, Erin is the principal investigator and project manager for the DOE's Ocean Observing Prize, overseeing technical direction, scope, and budget. Previous roles include marine operations test engineer at General Dynamics Mission Systems, where responsibilities spanned AUV testing and customer training, and ocean engineer at Harris Corporation, focusing on subsea fiber optic cable development. Erin holds a Master of Science in Ocean Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology, a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. Additionally, Erin has experience in cleanroom management, microfabrication, and coaching youth sailing.
