Wei Wang is currently the Deputy Director of the Energy Storage Research Alliance (ESRA) at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), where involvement includes leading R&D in grid energy storage technology as a Laboratory Fellow. In previous roles at PNNL, responsibilities included managing the Battery Design and Cell Integration team and directing the Energy Storage Materials Initiative, focusing on innovative approaches to material systems design. Prior experience includes positions as a Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University and Clemson University, specializing in materials synthesis and characterization for lithium-ion batteries and nanostructures. Wei Wang earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master's degree in Materials Science from Clemson University.
