Julio Roman

Julio Roman serves as the Executive Director of the Pacific Pride Foundation, where responsibilities include formulating and implementing strategic plans to advance LGBTQ+ rights in Santa Barbara. Previously, Roman held the position of Director of Latinx Gay & Bi Mens Initiatives at the Latino Commission on AIDS, leading national collaborations addressing health equity and HIV prevention. As a co-founder of OUT Agency, Roman ensured innovative project execution while also directing LGBTQIA+ Capacity Building and Training at the National Harm Reduction Coalition. With extensive experience in HIV prevention and harm reduction at NJCRI and Crossroads Rhode Island, Roman has established a strong foundation in community partnership and advocacy, including being a founding member of PROJECT WOW, a nationally recognized LGBTQIA+ center.
