Originally from Connecticut, Mr. Symington earned an undergraduate degree in Anthropology and Sociology from Lafayette College. He came to Pacific Ridge from the Cape Eleuthera Island School, a high school semester abroad program on the island of Eleuthera, Bahamas. Mr. Symington has also taught at The Rectory School, a junior boarding school in northeast Connecticut, and at two-day schools, Sage Ridge School in Reno, Nevada and Palmer Trinity School in Miami, Florida. Throughout his career, Mr. Symington has focused on experiential and outdoor education, leading expeditions to faraway places like Guatemala and local destinations of cultural or natural value.
