Nicholas Alvarez

Nicholas Alvarez is an accomplished design engineer with extensive experience in electrical engineering and innovative project development. Currently serving as Design Engineer III at Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company since August 2018, Nicholas has progressed through roles as Design Engineer II and Analog Design Engineer. Prior to this, Nicholas gained valuable research experience as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of California, Davis, focusing on single photon detection and LIDAR systems. An internship in Brazil involved designing hydroponic/aquaponic systems and training community members. Previous roles include an Electrical Engineering Internship at Sonoma State University, where Nicholas prototyped assistive technology for the visually impaired, and a position at EDC Technologies, Inc. involving energy management systems. Nicholas holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, as well as an Associate’s Degree from Santa Rosa Junior College.
