James Southwell

James Southwell has a diverse work experience. James started working at Packaging Corp. of America in 2010, where they held various roles including Vice President of Product Strategy and Quality and Director of Product Development, Quality, Sustainability/CSR. In these positions, they were responsible for product strategy, innovation, new product development, and quality control. James also led sustainability and social responsibility initiatives and implemented industry-first accomplishments in sustainability standards and food safety. Additionally, James served as the President and Commissioner/Board Member of the Long Grove Park District starting in 2013. James also served as a Board Member on the Global Board of Directors for ISTA (International Safe Transit Association) from 2014 to 2020.

James Southwell holds a Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Science and Management from Rochester Institute of Technology. James has also obtained certifications such as Certified Sustainability Practitioner from CSE - Center for Sustainability and Excellence in 2020, Sustainability Strategy from Arizona State University in 2019, GRI Standards Certification from Global Reporting Initiative in 2017, CDP Certification from CDP - Global environmental reporting system in 2017, and CPP-Lifetime (Certified Packaging Professional) from the Institute of Packaging Professionals.
